Hyper Light Breaker gets delayed to early 2025

Indie developer Heart Machine has announced Hyper Light Breaker is unfortunately delayed to next year.

The long-awaited sequel to indie darling Hyper Light Drifter is now set to launch sometime in early 2025, and will launch in early access for Windows PC (via Steam).

Announced back in March 2022, the new sequel takes the game universe to full 3D action. It has been delayed several times and will be in early access for a time until its full release.

Here’s a rundown on the sequel, plus its latest trailer:

Enter the Overgrowth, a forgotten land in the world of Hyper Light. Play alone or with friends to explore open worlds, fight brutal monsters, unlock gear, create new builds, take on the mysterious Crowns and overthrow the ominous Abyss King in this adventure from the creators of Hyper Light Drifter.

  • A world in disarray, with mysteries to solve, an array of vicious enemies to fight, and fully 3D environments to explore
