Human Element, the first game that former Call of Duty creative strategist Robert Bowling’s new studio Robotoki has been developing, is set for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and it’s being developed within Crytek’s CryEngine, the studio announced.
While the PC version will launch in November of next year, the Playstation 4 and Xbox One versions do not have a release date, unfortunately. Additionally, a “secondary” experience is being developed for mobile platforms, and it will follow the PC release.
Human Element is an open world survival game that puts the future of humanity in the hands of the players. The events of the game take place 35 years after a zombie apocalypse, and the majority of the game world will adapt and evolve based on your actions. Bowling had this to say regarding the game:
“The ambitious narrative and gameplay of Human Element required an innovative set of features in order to achieve our vision. CryEngine is the perfect fit for us because it delivers so many powerful features straight out of the box such as the physical based shading system and the infinite terrain from segmented worlds to create a massive open world experience but still allow the visual fidelity and detail our players expect from a first person experience from our team.”
Lastly, the prequel to Human Element that was originally confirmed as an Ouya exclusive, has since been cancelled.
