Within the next few weeks, Treyarch and Activision will be releasing a new update to Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and will be introducing the Directed Mode for The Tomb. Before the Direct Mode for the Tomb is released, we thought we’d share with you how to complete The Tomb Easter Egg steps. In order to complete The Tomb Easter Egg, you will need to build the Ice Staff.
In order to build the Ice Staff you will first need to get its three parts. Getting these three parts is not a simple task and you may need to Pack-a-Punch your weapon and get Juggernog beforehand.
The Monocle
First, you will need to obtain The Monocle. In order to obtain the Monocle, you’ll need to kill a Shock Mimic that appears on the map; the Shock Mimic will use the same regular attacks as other Mimics. Be warned, the Shock Mimic can disrupt your hud and cause you to be stunned. If you are unlucky, you can be downed after being grabbed, so, make sure you keep your distance as much as possible. The Shock Mimic will not appear on the map before round eight. After killing the Shock Mimic, it will drop an orange item called the Monocle.
Ice Staff – Staff Component
Once you have obtained the Monocole, you will need to get the staff and headpiece parts. In order to get the two pieces, you will need to move the purple flame between the different lanterns. In the Tomb, you will need to get the purple flame in the lantern across from the Spartian vs the bull mural (Death Perception). Don’t worry if the flame doesn’t move to that lantern right away, you just need to wait a few minutes for it to respawn and shoot it once again; during this process, it is best to have someone running a zombie or two around. Once the purple flame is across from the mural, eight symbols will light up in the mural; these symbols represent Roman Numerals that you will need to shoot in numerical order. The symbols will glow green if shot in proper order.
Once the Mural is glowing, a five-wave lockdown will start requiring you to kill a range of regular and miniboss enemies within the area. In order to survive, utilize monkey bombs, field upgrades, and the environment. In each wave, the purple pools will move and enemies will start to spawn nearby. You can leave the area but if all players leave the zone, you will have to restart the lockdown. Once all five waves have been slaughtered, the staff component piece will appear next to the mural.
Ice Staff – Head Piece
With the Staff component and Monocle in your possession, you will need to get the Headpiece. Now you will need to head over to the Neolithic Catacombs (Deadshot Daquiri) and head toward the Workbench. Near the Workbench, you’ll find another mural on the wall; this mural is Orion hunting the Bull. Again you will need to move one of the purple flames to one of the lanterns by the mural to get the symbols to light up.
Like the mural in the Tomb, you will need to shoot the symbols in numerical order. Once the eight symbols have been shot in the correct order another lockdown phase will begin. Survive the five waves once again and you will get the Head Piece; this lockdown step can be a bit more difficult due to being in a more confined space.
Building the Ice Staff
With all three parts obtained, you will need to return to the Dark Aether and head to the center of the map. In the center of the map, you will find a stone structure that looks like it came out of Dr. Strange or Yu-Gi-Oh. Walk up to the construct and interact with the hole in the middle. Interacting with the hole will start the Ice Staff Ritual.
This Ritual will require you to protect the construct while the Ice Staff is being crafted. During this process, waves of zombies will spawn and attempt to attack the construct. If the construct takes too much damage, you will need to restart the Ice Staff Ritual. Once you have successfully protected the construct, the Ice Staff will be available to be picked up. With the Ice Staff now in your team’s possession, you will need to upgrade it before you can start The Tomb Easter Egg.
