How Not to Summon a Demon Lord season 2 has been banned in Australia

How Not to Summon a Demon Lord

The second season of How Not to Summon a Demon Lord has been effectively banned in Australia after the series was “Refused Classification” by the Australian government.

To be Refused Classification means that the series cannot legally be sold in the country and will have to be viewed through other means. The Australian government in particular has been vocally outspoken about anime and manga content by controversially labelling some series as “child exploitation“.

How Not to Summon a Demon Lord follows Takuma Sakamoto, a powerful player of the MMORPG Cross Reverie. His character, the Demon Lord Diablo has high stats, powerful gear, and an intimidating appearance.

One night he is suddenly transported into the game world in the body of his character, summoned by two young girls who are mages. These are Shera L. Greenwood, a buxom elf and magical archer, and Rem Galleu, a pantheran magician.

Unfortunately for them, Diablo had a ring of spell reflection. The binding spell is turned back on the two summoners. Instead of binding Diablo as a summoned creature, the two girls are bound as slaves to Diablo.

The manga is licensed in English by Seven Seas Entertainment and is available to watch on Crunchyroll.
