2012’s smash indie-hit, Hotline Miami, takes place in Miami, Florida, 1989, and features the protagonist going through brutally challenging, action-packed levels of blood, carnage, and death. Players familiar with the game will know that each mission begins with a phone call, and a cryptic message disguised as a normal conversation.
Some time ago, on the game’s official Facebook page, an actual phone number was posted: +1 (786) 519-3708 ext 10.
This author called it, and received an automated message in digitally distorted voices. The most understandable utterance was “Together we March” followed by “teteteteteteten”. This could very well be a clever way to hint at a release date for the highly anticipated sequel.
Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number may be coming as soon as March 10. We’ll keep you updated.
