Sony held a press conference at this year’s Game Developers Conference focused on PlayStation VR – however, during their presser they also re-confirmed two hotly anticipated titles for this fiscal year: Horizon: Zero Dawn and The Last Guardian.
Both titles are quite ambitious in scope and fans were concerned they would be lost in the shuffle between this fall and the holidays – prompting Sony to delay them into next year. Thankfully, that isn’t the case.
While Horizon: Zero Dawn was announced at last year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo, The Last Guardian has been in development since 2007, with the latter experiencing a fair share of development woes.
Both titles will release exclusively for PlayStation 4 – however it’ll be interesting to see how far apart their releases are.

March 15, 2016 at 5:37 pmThe industry and Sony’s library of IP and partnerships has changed a great deal since 2007 (or SotC being released), I think the two will complement each other pretty well though.

March 15, 2016 at 5:49 pmI have more confidence in Guerrilla Games to complete Horizon in time, than the Japan Studio, but I still remain somewhat skeptical the 2016 release of both titles.

March 15, 2016 at 6:21 pmStill expecting them to slip into next year, it’s just more advantageous for a platform holder to pretend they won’t for the time being.

March 15, 2016 at 7:09 pmI highly doubt The Last Guardian will come out this year. Maybe it will come out when Deep Down does. Do people even still remember Deep Down or Rime?

March 15, 2016 at 7:31 pmI won’t believe last guardian is real until I’m sliding it between my butt cheeks.

March 15, 2016 at 9:10 pmRime developers on last December on Twitter said they’re nearly done, for Deep Down Capcom registered another trademark for it few months ago

March 15, 2016 at 9:22 pmI have no idea what to think on that. So many delays on The Last Guardian makes me wonder just how much progress they really did. Let’s hope it doesn’t take 12 years and they release a mediocre product.
As for Horizon, considering when it was announced, I think it’s progressing pretty naturally. No worries from me on that front.

March 15, 2016 at 11:02 pmUntil they come out they all seem to be in development hell.
