Focus Home Interactive have released commented gameplay for Hood: Outlaw & Legends, along with post launch plans and Year 1 passes.
As previously reported, the game is a PvPvE multiplayer game. Set in a dark fantasy medieval world that has become corrupt and cruel, thieves and rogues have come to claim riches, and win favor among the people.
Two teams must attempt to outwit AI guards, and each other. Each character has their own skills and abilities, letting them sneak unseen, or fight it out in combat; some through magic.
The gameplay commentary highlights how each of the classes (the Ranger, Hunter, Brawler, and Mystic) can be customized with perks to further emphasize a play-style. For example, the usually sneaky ranger can be given a melee special and burst damage perks to make it easier to force pass foes and get to higher ground for support. The supporting Mystic could be given faster movement to make sneaking past guards, stealing keys, and unlocking doors easier.

In addition, Focus Home Interactive detailed the game’s post launch plans and Year 1 pass. As detailed in the press release, the game’s first year will be split into four themed seasons; each with major free gameplay additions, community events, new cosmetics, and more. The Mountain map will also come shortly after launch in the first season, Litha.
Other teased content includes new game modes, and a new playable character in the second season. Each of the seasons after Lithia will also have Battle Passes; providing outfits, weapon skins, and banners. All three season passess will also be available in the Year 1 Edition.

Hood: Outlaw & Legends releases May 10th for Windows PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Pre-orders grant access to the game on May 7th.
