Japanese developer Nippon Ichi Software has announced Honogurashi no Niwa, a new rural life simulation game from the creators of their Yomawari series.
Honogurashi no Niwa is in development for Windows PC (via Steam), Switch, Switch 2, and PS5 with a release date set for July 30th, 2026.

Honogurashi no Niwa is a life simulation game set in a nostalgic rural village, created by the staff of the Yomawari series. You can enjoy a peaceful rural lifestyle, working hard at farming and animal husbandry, enjoying fishing and hunting, and deepening your relationships with the villagers.
Story
The young protagonist was found wandering in the mountains and taken in by the villagers. With nowhere else to go, the villagers made the protagonist an offer.
“Would you be willing to work for the village? If you promise to work for the village, we’ll let you stay here.”
While working on vegetable farming and tending to livestock, the protagonist also crafts furniture, goes fishing, and more… A peaceful, leisurely rural life begins.
