Kadokawa Games and Akatsuki Entertainment USA have announced a new movie based on Root Letter.

The new live-action movie will be produced by a Hollywood studio, and will attempt to recreate the mystery elements found within the mystery visual novel.

Production is still in the planning phase, with the script currently not even written yet. Annmarie Sairrino Bailey of Akatsuki Entertainment will be producing.

A premiere date wasn’t confirmed.
