Hollow Knight: Silksong release crashes digital marketplaces

The little indie game that could, did and will do it again – the long-awaited Hollow Knight: Silksong has brought digital marketplaces to their collective knees.

Even on the day of release there is no Silksong. Multiple storefronts like Nintendo and Steam have been unable to supply the unrelenting demand for the silky goodness that is the newly released Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Multiple reports, confirmed by Niche Gamer as well, have found everything from Steam to the Nintendo eShop are currently unusable.

We at Niche Gamer couldn’t be happier about the humor of the entire situation. We hope the 3-man indie Team Cherry can savoir their fruits of labor, sit back and enjoy the show. It’s the least the world can offer them after entangling us with the fascinating spectacle that is the Silkgong hype.

Hollow Knight: Silksong is now available across Windows PC (via SteamGOG, and the Humble Store), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, PS4, and PS5 on September 4th.
