While the kickstarter for Unsung Story is readily approaching its funding goal of $600,000, the mastermind behind the game, Hiroki Matsuno, has taken to twitter to answer some fans’ questions.
Some fans have been concerned with the possibility of having Matsuno in a directing position, which not only has proven disastrous in the past, it also squelched his vision as he overworked himself and took up too much work, frequently working 60-70+ hour schedules through a game’s development.
Matsuno-san cleared up those concerns:
Just so there’s no confusion: I won’t be doing the day-to-day directing, but I will be involved throughout development of #UnsungStory.
He also elaborated on what his role really is, revealing that he still is the driving force behind the game itself:
I am the visionary of the game, from mechanics to story. Playdek is realizing this vision with me.
Lastly, he thanked his fans for supporting the game’s kickstarter:
Thank you for supporting our Kickstarter!
Unsung Story is currently sitting at $354,125 dollars of it’s $600,000 goal. If you want to pledge to the spiritual successor to Final Fantasy Tactics, head on over to their kickstarter page.
