Atlus have announced a HD remaster of Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne, during today’s Nintendo Direct Mini presentation.
As stated in the press release (via email), the remake of the 2003 JRPG (then known as Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne in the US) will be remade in HD. Nibellion (a Twitter account dedicated to video game news) has also discovered the game is heading to PlayStation 4, thanks to the game’s Japanese website.
While visiting a friend in a Tokyo hospital, the protagonist witnesses “the Conception”- the destruction of the world. Yet, they survive, now as the “Demi-fiend,” creating pacts with demons, spirits, and other beings to break the cycle of annihilation and rebirth.
Several of the game’s Japanese voice cast have also been revealed (thanks @CommissarBear!) These include Daisuke Ono (as Hikawa), Reina Ueda (Chiaki Tachibana), Takuya Eguchi (Isamu Nitta), Suzuko Mimori (Yuko Takao), and Takeshi Maeda as Jyoji Hijiri.
