• Hikari no Ou premieres January 2023

    Hikari no Ou

    The upcoming anime series Hikari no Ou (King of Light) will premiere this upcoming January as part of the Winter 2023 anime season.

    The series takes place in what appears to be either alternate history or a recovering post apocalyptic world (it’s surprising how the two can be used interchangeably or even as a twist). In this world, humans are afflicted with some sort of disease which causes their bodies to combust when in the mere presence of natural flame. The only flames that are safe are these magical flames harvested from the corpses of certain beasts. However rumors abound about how a great fire can be retrieved from a “man-made star”.

    Hikari no Ou is the latest work from studio Signal.MD who are known for their past work on Recovery of an MMO Junkie and the film Deemo Memorial Keys.
