Kaga Create has announced they’ve closed their doors and are no longer in business.
They were shuttered as a studio effectively December 31st of last year. Kaga Create was known for the games Higurashi When They Cry, Saki: The Nationals, among others.
According to the publisher, they’ve had to shut down because they simply didn’t earn enough profits, citing the modern game market that is somewhat dominated by smartphone games.
A subdivision under Kaga Electronics, Kaga Create was originally founded in 1988 as “Naxat,” and they’ve released games on practically every console generation.
