
Indie developer Hurdy-Gurdy Games shared a new trailer for Hieronymus, their new fantastical action-adventure game set in the surreal paintings of medieval painter Hieronymus Bosch.

Experience the late middle ages with a surreal twist. Carve your path through enchanting environments using your wits, your tools and the help of the fantastical creatures you meet along the way.
Gameplay
- Alchemy: Crafted and combined alchemical projectiles can be used to stun creatures, lure them away or influence their behavior in other ways.
- Combat: A historical arquebus: deadly but slow and loud. Know your enemies and use it wisely.
- Catching, Taming & Interaction: Change the world around you with various magical artifacts or catch monsters and use their abilities.
- Exploration: Explore outlandish environments and avoid detection at any cost.
Story
Step into the shoes of Helena van Aken. Unravel her family’s entanglement with otherworldly powers, while being accompanied by the duplicit trickster and famous magician Dr. Georg Faustus, who shares with them some of his knowledge of alchemy and the mystical arts.
Hieronymus is in development for Windows PC (via Steam), though a release date wasn’t announced.
