In an interview with Japanese website Gamespark, Hideo Kojima has revealed his thoughts behind the Playstation 4, now that the console has launched in the West,

Kojima confessed that he has high expectations for the platform, and he feels that the graphics have gotten closer to making cinematic, movie quality visuals a standard.

He elaborated on his betting for movie quality visuals, due to his upcoming story behind Metal Gear Solid V, which deals with themes of racial and ethnic intolerance.

Finally, Kojima believes that socially connected and smart phone games are becoming hugely popular, especially in Japan, where he thinks both this year and next year will start a connection between social and core gamers.
