• Hideo Kojima Officially Left Konami Today, Forms a New Studio and is in Talks with Sony

    We’ve learned (via Nikkei) that Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima has officially left Konami as of today, December 15th.

    According to the report, he’s already in the process of forming a new studio – and is already in final negotiations with Sony Computer Entertainment. Coming from this, his first game is expected to launch on PlayStation console(s) first.

    If you’ve been following the entire debacle surrounding Kojima and Konami, things have reportedly gotten worse for the creator and his team. Previously, the most we knew was that Kojima Productions had been disbanded, and that Kojima was “on vacation,” according to Konami.
