Nintendo revealed a completely wacky sounding strategy RPG for the 3DS tonight titled Code Name: S.T.E.A.M., and no it has nothing to do with Valve’s outrageously popular PC client. The game is being developed by Intelligent Systems, and overseen by Miyamoto himself, as this is his next big project.
The game features classic turn based, strategy RPG gameplay – only with a twist, when you take control of a character, the perspective switches to a third person shooter/action adventure, which is akin to something you’d see in Valkyria Chronicles.
You can read a bit more about the game in our original piece here. While we still don’t have gameplay to sample right now, we do have the first official screenshots, box art, and some blurbs about the game itself.
