Arc System Works have given us a look at Nine, otherwise known as Konoe A. Mercury, in her new playable form within BlazBlue: Central Fiction.

Featured above, you can view the new gameplay trailer which shows off her new moves. In a new preview on Famitsu, we’ve learned that Nine is the first character in the series without a Drive. Her normal buttons are instead assigned to different elements, with A for Water, B for Wind, and C for Fire.

On a successful hit or block, these corresponding attacks will unleash the respective element, which is in turn stored away to be later shot out in a devastating spell with the D button. You can naturally mix these up and really make fights interesting, as she has lots of various magic attacks.

Nine is joined by the other newcomers Naoto Kurogane and Hibiki Kohaku, with the rest of the cast including:

Amane, Arakune, Azrael, Bang, Bullet, Carl, Celica, Hakumen, Hazama, Izayoi, Jin, Kokonoe, Litchi, Makoto, Noel, Platinum, Rachel, Ragna, Relius, Tager, Taokaka, Terumi, Tsubaki, Valkenhayn, μ -No.12-, ν -No.13-, and Λ -No.11-.

BlazBlue: Central Fiction is launching in Japanese arcades on November 19th.
