Following our original report, Famitsu has revealed the first preview for Japanese studio Lancarse’s new RPG for Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita. The new game, titled Lost Dimension, is a near future RPG that has some pretty fantastic art.
The story is set in the near future, where the world is rapidly approaching its own destruction, and suddenly a mysterious structure known only as the “Pillar” is erected. From there, a secret military agent known as S.E.A.L.E.D. is put to the task of approaching and dealing with the unknown threat.
The End (pictured above) is a mysterious man who murders, destroys, and ultimately welcomes in the world’s destruction with open arms. He suddenly appears within the Pillar, and he declares war against all those who are able to oppose him.
S.E.A.L.E.D. is described as an group of gifted individuals who belong to the United Nations, a group that was quickly formed as a countermeasure to The End.
Here are the first two members of S.E.A.L.E.D.
Shuu Kasugai – He’s an eighteen year old man with the gift of precognition, or farsight. He was chosen as a member of S.E.A.L.E.D. because of his ability to see into the future and prevent casualties.
Youko Tachibana – She’s a seventeen year old high school girl who aspires to one day be a singer. She is gifted with telepathy, and she despises this ability and only uses it when necessary.
Lost Dimension is set for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita in Japan on August 7th.
