We’ve finally gotten a look at gameplay for Sony Computer Entertainment and Heavy Spectrum’s Shadow of the Beast remake on Playstation 4.

Featured above, you can view the gameplay walkthrough via Sony’s E3 livestream. The game was first announced at Sony’s Gamescom 2014 press conference, and since then we only got some in-game screenshots – it’s nice to see the game is shaping up.

Matt Birch, founder of Heavy Spectrum, talked up the game’s combat. “With the combat system, we really added all these extra layers in there. If you want to get great scores, you have to use the enemies against each other. You have to stun them, throw them into each other, and you have this blood system as well.”

As you kill your enemies, Aarbron (the protagonist) absorbs their blood. As you acquire their blood, you’ll fill up a meter, which eventually lets you deal out big super moves.

Shadow of the Beast is coming exclusively to PS4, although a release date has not been specified.
