Shouzo Kaga, the head of development on the Fire Emblem series until Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, has been working on a new strategy RPG, and his first game in over ten years.
Featured above, we’ve gotten the first look at gameplay within Vestaria Saga, which Kaga and a small team of volunteers are developing within doujin creator suite SRPG Studio.
According to Kaga, the game is still very early in development, and the current CGs (as well as other assets) are all placeholders. While 15 volunteers are currently working on the game, the game will be entirely free once it’s completed (the video makes a note in saying that it may not be).
Development on Vestaria Saga is at 10% completion, however it’s already easy to see the scope of this SRPG. I’m really curious how much of the current assets are placeholders – if the music is completely original, and so on.
We’ll keep you guys posted.
