• Here’s the Debut Gameplay for CyberConnect2’s .hack-like Mobile RPG, New World

    Bandai Namco and developer CyberConnect2 have revealed the first trailer for their upcoming free-to-play smartphone RPG, New World.

    Featured above, you can view the new trailer for the .hack-inspired game, which is poised to harken back to the concept and theme of the iconic PlayStation 2 series. It’s worth mentioning that New World is the first in their collaborative project, dubbed appropriately Project N.U.

    Neon Genesis Evangelion and .hack//Sign character designer Yoshiyuki Sadamoto is handling the character designs in New World. The story takes place in the town of “Mac Anu,” where you meet a silver-eyed girl who knows the secret of the world – as well as harboring the ability to unlock the protagonist’s hidden strength.

    New World Vol. 1: Maiden of Silver Tears is launching in Japan sometime later this year for Android and iPhone.
