Microsoft and Moon Studios have revealed some gorgeous new footage at Gamescom 2014 for their upcoming game, Ori and the Blind Forest.

Featured above, the gameplay shows off the Guardian Spirit Ori as it explores and tries to survive the slowly decaying forest. The story is vastly mysterious in that Ori is essentially a castaway who must discover himself, and why his forest is disappearing.

The Metroidvania-styled experience is set to arrive sometime this holiday on PC and Xbox One.
