The producer of the Senran Kagura series, Kenichiro Takaki, is working on a totally new game for Playstation Vita called IA/VT Colorful, or an abbreviation of IA Visual Tracks Colorful. Thanks to the new preview from Famitsu, we’ve learned a good deal of information surrounding the game. IA/VT Colorful is described as a “sound catching” music rhythm game, tasking you with moving the on screen cursor via one of the analog sticks to “catch” the music in tandem by pressing the face buttons.
It’s basically taking a few pages out of a few popular music rhythm games like Theatrhythm Final Fantasy and the DJMAX series, but splicing them together for a fresh new gameplay experience. In case you were worried that the game would be lacking in bright, vibrant visuals, fear not! The stages in the game are absolutely drenched in color, as such they’ll probably be gorgeous on the Vita’s screen.

The game will feature loads of popular vocaloid songs like Re;Birth by Sele and Love Sagittarius by Mutsuki Levin. The total track number will be a staggering 60 songs, according to Takaki-san. The game is set for release on July 31st in Japan, and is currently 40% percent complete. Downloadable content will follow (naturally) after the game has released, so we’ll keep you guys posted.
