Here are the Results of the 38 Studios Auction

The auction to sell off 38 Studios assets has concluded, and it accumulated roughly $320,000 in gross proceeds, according to a statement made by court-appointed receiver Richard J. Lund.

The auction was originally set for November, but due to high interest in the properties, had to be rescheduled to December 11th. More than 20 parties were interested in all of the properties on sale.

Rise of Legends, Rise of Nations as well as the trademark for Big Huge Games were successfully auctioned off, while the other properties unfortunately did not receive “acceptable offers.”

Of those remaining properties, the most notable ones were Project Copernicus, a MMORPG set within the same world as Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. It seems that the Kingdoms of Amalur IP was not quite a billion dollar franchise as 38 Studios founder Curt Schilling believed.

All hope is not lost, however, as Lund intends to pursue the interested parties to sell off the remaining assets to pay off 38 Studios’ debt.
