We’ve gotten the first high resolution screenshots and details for FDG Entertainment and Game Atelier’s Monster Boy spiritual successor.
The game, dubbed Monster Boy and the Wizard of Booze, is being developed in collaboration with series creator Ryuichi Nishizawa. As you can expect, the game stars Monster Boy, a youngster gifted with the ability to transform into five different forms, each having their own unique abilities and skills.
You’ll have to consistently switch between all five creatures to defeat challenging bosses, obtain powerful new items and equipment, and to of course – traverse new areas. While the core story revolves around Monster Boy attempting to remove a powerful curse, Game Atelier is promising “a big adventure world with many interesting locations.”
You can even see a few photos of series creator Ryuichi Nishizawa showing his pledging to the project:
So far, the confirmed platforms Monster Boy and the Wizard of Booze is coming to are PlayStation 4, and PC, with “more to be announced.”
