Yacht Club Games created a true love-letter to the games of our childhood with Shovel Knight, a complete retro-throwback to old school platforming action/adventure games.

Coming from this, the game is chock full of secrets and hidden goodies, most especially cheat codes – just like the good old days. One of the most notable of cheat codes in the game is the phrase “WSWWAEAW,” which unlocks the game’s “BUTT” mode, replacing all of the common nouns with the world “BUTT.”

All jokes aside, this isn’t lowering bar so much as it’s just adding a bit of fun to the game. Shovel Knight is available on the Nintendo Wii U, 3DS and PC. You can read our review for Shovel Knight here.
