Helltaker fanmade fighting game Hellversus gets playable demo

Hellversus

Indie developer Kyo-hei has released a playable demo for Hellversus, their fan-made 2D fighting game based on Helltaker.

The creator-approved fan-made fighting game has a playable demo over on their itch.io page. The current demo includes only two playable characters, Zdrada and Modeus, though more are planned.

Despite being an entirely fan-produced demo, the game already sports stylish 2D animations akin to Skullgirls and features gameplay reminiscent of the fast-paced fighting game series Guilty Gear.

Here’s a teaser of the two characters and their voice actors:

While development of the game is being funded via the creator’s Patreon, the game is intended to be released for free (as it is a fan game) and while considering the original Helltaker was released for free, too.
