Developer Cradle Games has announced sci-fi action-RPG Hellpoint will be heading to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

As previously reported, the game is set on the abandoned space station Irid Novo. It has been overrun by horrific interdimensional beings, after a catastrophic cosmic event called The Merge.

The station orbits around a mysterious black hole in real-time, with the station’s position altering enemy behavior, and triggering unique events and boss encounters. The game also supports drop-in, drop-out co-op.

Hellpoint is available for Windows PC, Linux, Mac (all via GOG, Epic Games Store, and Steam), PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and coming soon to Nintendo Switch. In addition, the new announcement confirms the game will launch in 2021 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

As with many other games that are spanning both console generations, those who own the game on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One can get a free upgrade to the next-gen equivalent. Cradle Games boasts the next-gen version of Hellpoint will support dynamic 4K resolution at 60 FPS in performance mode, or Native 4K resolution at 30 FPS in quality mode.
