Hearthstone: Journey to Un’Goro Launches April 6

Blizzard has announced the release date for the coming “Journey to Un’Goro” expansion for Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft.

The fifth expansion to the card-battling game will launch on April 6th, bringing with it 135 new cards, among other new features.

A legendary card known as the “quest card” is also being added to the game, which tasks players with hitting various goals. An example was given with a priest quest “Awaken the Makers,” which has you summoning seven Deathrattle minions over the course of a game.

A new keyword, “adapt,” also comes with the expansion. When a minion adapts through various means, players are given a choice of three potential upgrades for said minion. This includes things like buffs to attack and health, giving the minion a taunt, a divine shield, and more.

April 6th is also the day Blizzard kicks off the “Year of the Mammoth” in the game, where they’ll rotate cards out of Standard mode, making them only playable in the Wild format. They’re also removing a few of the most popular classic cards from Standard mode.
