The Game Bakers announced a new Haven update adds same sex relationships to the romantic adventure RPG.

While the Haven update adds same sex relationships to the game, the update does not alter the story as players still play as Yu and Kay, instead it gives more options to swap out genders to whatever you feel like identifying as in the current moment.

“Haven is about the freedom to love whomever you want. From the very early days of conception, we had created several couples for the game, with a diverse range of relationships,” Haven Creative Director Emeric Thoa said.

He added, “But the constraints of our indie team production made us focus on Yu and Kay only. After the game launch, we wanted to go back and work on this update. We hope that many players will feel better represented in the game.”

Haven is available on Windows PC (via GOG, the Epic Games Store, and Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
