Have Fun with DNA in the Science-Puzzler, SPLICE

Cells, DNA, cellular strands, all encompass the very fabric of life itself. Deep in your body is an inside story, written by you, that has been told time and time again. it is told well before your life’ in-depth while you are alive, and even long after death.. It’s a beautiful, elegant process that originates from the very beginnings of evolution and life on Earth. It’s what Creative Director William Stallwood of Cipher Prime Team seeks to express with the studio’s newest game, SPLICE.

SPLICE is a science puzzler game set deep down in the microscopic universe of cellular strands. Players will be tasked with solving various puzzles involving the strands while in their microscopic world. The game will steadily grow in challenge over time, but the game will become clearer in understanding as players progress.

The more you play, the better it is understood. The biggest highlight for the game, and what has become a signature for the Philadelphia-based studio, is the level of cinematic immersion via it’s eloquent music tracks. The studio previously worked on games such as Auditorium HD and Pulse, which highlight a catchy puzzle gameplay mechanic with tremendous musical immersion.  As William stated though, this is very much a puzzle game, routed in challenge,

“Splice isn’t the kind of game you just play. It’s the kind of game you experience. Allow yourself to become immersed in the puzzles and let the delicious yet cinematic soundtrack wash over you. Conquer the main game, then take on the epilogue. We’ve created a difficult but rewarding challenge for novice and master puzzle-solvers alike.”

Splice is set for launch on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 on January 20th for $14.99 as a cross-buy title. Follow Ciper Prime Team on their main website for more on their games, studio, culture, and to connect to social media.
