Haunted Room! Urami-chan launches in 2026

Haunted Room! Urami-chan

Publisher 15 Industry and developer Minimum Box announced a release window for Haunted Room! Urami-chan, their new “life-intervention watching game.”

Haunted Room! Urami-chan is set to launch sometime next year, in 2026 for Windows PC (via Steam).

Here’s a rundown on the game, plus a new trailer:

What is Urami-chan?

In this “life-intervention watching game,” you control the earthbound spirit “Urami-chan.” Travel between an apartment’s past and present to change the murdered resident’s future. The game unfolds in semi-real time, tasking you to watch over the resident and intervene.

The Story

December 31, 1988. Due to the murder of a resident “Ms. Noroi” in one of her apartment rooms, the apartment was in danger of being demolished.

It was a story that was no stranger to “Urami-chan,” the earthbound spirit in her room. Jishibei spirits disappear when they no longer have a place to call their own. With the advice of the human spirit “Onebii,” she returned to the past and took action to change Noroi’s future.

How to Play

One month from the time Ms. Noroi moved in until she was murdered. The player returns to the past from the calendar of the room where the murder took place and intervenes in Ms. Noroi’s life for three hours until the resident, Ms. Noroi, returns home and goes to bed, to make her presence known.

What “Urami-chan” can do

  • Call – Punching furniture and fixtures can bring Ms. Noroi in. If Ms. Noroi is concentrated, she may not notice.
  • Telekinesis – The spirit power can be used to possess or manipulate the furniture.

Game Flow

After 3 hours, the player returns to the original time, and if something changes, the date to return is updated. By using telekinesis to cause small “anomalies” at first, the past is gradually changed.

The number of “anomalies” that can be triggered will increase as the player gains experience by surprising Ms. Noroi. If you can make a big change in the past, might you be able to change your own future?
