Sega has confirmed the global release dates for Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX, their chibi-fied version of the popular vocaloid rhythm game.
The game is coming in both retail and digital formats on May 26th in North America, in Japan and Korea on May 28th, and finally in Europe on May 29th. Pre-orders for the game will be coming sometime later.
The game is a collaborative effort between Sega and Good Smile Company, and it features the Nendoroid-version of Hatsune Miku and friends. There will be 48 full length songs in the game, multiple game modes and playstyles including a Button Mode and a Touch Mode, various customization options, and of course – various difficulty levels.
You can change the difficulty via both support and challenge items, as well as have the ability to change target icons, timing indicators, and even swap out vocals in the songs. There’s also the Mirai Theater, which lets you watch your favorite songs, or the Dance Studio, which lets you choreograph your own dance routines, and finally My Tune, which lets you compose your own song phrases. Finally, the game supports StreetPass and SpotPass connectivity via Player Cards.
