The Project Mirai series of music and rhythm games are a collaboration between Sega, the developer muscle behind the games, and Good Smile Company, the owner of the Hatsune Miku franchise. They’ve got a new installment in the series coming out on the 3DS, called Project Mirai DX.
Sega are providing a complementary 3DS Home Theme, featured above, to anyone who pre-orders the game. It will have custom background music, an 8-bit version of “Nice to Meet You, Earthlings” by Pinocchio-P. Sega do plan to sell the theme through the Japanese Nintendo eShop later.
A “Mikudayo Stuffed Pouch” has also been created to tie in with the game. The pouch, featured above, is fashioned in the form of chibi Hatsune Miku’s face, and comes with a “Torobotan” cleaner. The pouch is big enough for a large New Nintendo 3DS. It costs 3,900 yen, excluding tax, and will be available in Japan on the same day that the game launches there, May 28. It’s already available for pre-order.
