Way back in July there was an ESRB listing for Hatsune Miku Project Diva F on the Playstation Vita, signaling that Sega was considering bringing the game to the handheld in the Americas.
Unfortunately, the game’s release on Playstation 3 came and went and there was no word from Sega regarding the game coming to Vita in the same territories. That has all changed today with a surprise announcement: Hatsune Miku Project Diva F is coming to both North America and Europe as a digital download early next year!
John Cheng, President and COO, SEGA of America, had this to say:
“We’re excited to bring this global phenomenon and share it with fans in the West,”… “Now gamers will be able to experience and enjoy Hatsune Miku Project Diva F anywhere, anytime, and on the go with the portable handheld version.”

Man am I glad I held out from importing the Japanese version, I just knew Sega of America would consider the Vita version. Now to go tell all of my friends on VitaGAF “I told you so,” haha!
