Hatena no Tou: The Tower of Children

Publisher Shueisha and developer Tasto Alpha have announced Hatena no Tou: The Tower of Children at Bitsummit 2021, with a release set for 2022.

Hatena no Tou: The Tower of Children is described as a single-player, roguelike adventure game with survival elements, and is being developed under Sheisha’s Game Creators Camp, a new initiative launched with the goal of fostering indie Japanese game developers. Release platforms for the game are still undecided, but it will include Japanese and English languages.

Project lead on Hatena no Tou: The Tower of Children is Tom Ikeda, a veteran developer known for games like Shadows of the Damned, Little King’s Story, Lollipop Chainsaw, Rule of Rose, Black Bird, and Dandy Dungeon: Legend of Brave Yamada.

Here’s a new trailer:

Here’s a brief rundown on the game:

There was an endless tower at the end of the world

There are people who live in the tower, they are all children

I lived powerfully with my shoulders on the tower

I actually believe that there is a “paradise” on the ground
