It seems like Natsume’s first in-house developed Harvest Moon game, Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley, has done pretty well for the company.

Natsume president and CEO Hiro Maekawa detailed the news in a post over on their official Facebook page:

“It is because of the strong support of loyal Harvest Moon fans like you that Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley is performing beyond our expectations in North America.”

Maekawa makes a note of Natsume’s positive outlook for the game’s upcoming European launch. He also pointed out that the Harvest Moon series is going to continue:

“Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley is the true beginning of great things to come in the series as we will be building upon fan feedback, media comments and our own 18 years of experience with the franchise.”

For those who are confused by the whole Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons situation, you can read more about that here in our previous report. It’s worth mentioning that downloadable content for Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley is going to kick off later this month.
