Harvest Moon: One World Delayed to March 5 2021 on Switch, Possibly Still Launching Fall 2020 on PS4

Natsume have announced a delay in the release date for the Nintendo Switch version of farming and life simulator Harvest Moon: One World.

As previously reported, the game will continue the series farming simulation with “new and familiar faces, unique villages, and adventurous challenges while managing their growing farm.” The game is also being developed with a new engine and graphics.


The game takes place in a world “without tomatoes, strawberries, or even cabbage,” where the players find an old book with these mysteries. The player will also go beyond their home town to the whole world. “From the gorgeous beaches of Halo Halo to the snowy mountains of Salmiakki, there’s literally an entire world to explore.”

Harvest Moon: One World was originally due to launch Fall 2020 on Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4. Now, the press release (via Games Press) states the game will launch March 5th, 2021 on Nintendo Switch. The PlayStation 4 version was not mentioned.

Before the Harvest Goddess disappeared from this world, she imbued the tiny Harvest Wisps with the knowledge of various seeds, thus ensuring the various fruits and vegetables of the world would not be lost. Using the power given to these Harvest Wisps, you’ll unlock various seeds as you progress through the game! But the Harvest Wisps can be tricky to find, as they all appear at different times and places. You’ll need to use your noggin to make sure to seek as many as you can of them out!

“Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted everyone in our world in many ways,” said Hiro Maekawa, President and CEO of Natsume. “Although the current events have delayed the launch of Harvest Moon: One World, we are working hard every day to create a great game that introduces players to a whole new world and promises Serious Fun.”
