The gameplay trailer shows off how you can customize your character’s appearance, as well as the new crop growing techniques, and a myriad of other features.
In Tsunagaru Shin Tenchi, you can literally use the wifi communications of your 3DS to visit your friends’ farms, hence the subtitle of the game translating to Linking the New World. Up to four players can visit a single farm, after joining you can help maintain crops, nurture your livestock, exchange gifts or simply chat it up. You can even ship crops and dairy products all over the world via the Trading Station. Once the item reaches its destination, you’ll receive a postcard giving thanks to your shipment. You can also order items through this system.
Naturally, Tsunagaru Shin Tenchi makes use of the StreetPass feature, which lets tyou see other players’ animals and the cumulative value of their shipments thus far, sort of a way to compete with local farmers!
Tsunagaru Shin Tenchi will also get a crossover from a famous Nintendo franchise – the Super Mario Bros. series to be specific. You’ll be able to grow items from the game in your farm, things such as Fire Flowers, 1-Up Mushrooms, and Stars, just to name a few. These will have special conditions to properly grow, but they’ll give you bonuses in maintaining your farm.
Marvelous also shared some new screenshots for the game, which you can view below:
If you pre-order the game in Japan, you’ll get a bonus Angora Rabbit strap for your 3DS system. A Western release date has not been confirmed, but rest assured Marvelous AQL is already in talks with Natsume – we’ll keep you posted.
