Halo Infinite multiplayer director resigns from 343 Industries

Yet another key staff from Halo Infinite has left the company this week as the game lost the head developer behind its multiplayer.

Multiplayer director Tom French announced he left the company after more than a decade working on Halo titles.

“After over 11 1/2 years on Halo, I step out of my Spartan armor for the last time today to head off to new adventures,” French said.

He added, “It’s been a massive honor to have been part of a game I loved so much as a player and admired so much as a developer. I couldn’t be more proud of my time at 343.”

French’s resignation comes not long after other key staff left 343 Industries, with others departing like the studio engineering director, as well as its founder and studio lead Bonnie Ross.

Halo Infinite recently got some long-awaited updates and features like its Forge open beta, campaign cooperative play, and more – after most of the features had several delays.

Halo Infinite is available on Windows PC (via the Microsoft StoreSteam), Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The game is also available on Xbox Game Pass. In case you missed it, you can find our thorough review on the game here.
