Halo Infinite Campaign Overview Trailer

Halo Infinite

Publisher Microsoft and developer 343 Industries have revealed the campaign overview trailer for Halo Infinite.

The campaign was initially shown during the gameplay premiere in July 2020; but its graphics were poorly received. 343 Industries admitted they had “work to do” and were “in many ways” in agreement with the feedback they received.

Five years after the events of Halo 4, players must stop the Banished on the Zeta Halo, and find out what happened to Cortana. As previously reported, the game is open world, as players can tackle objectives in any order they wish. This will include taking down Banished bases, rescuing allies, finding new weapons, vehicles, equipment; and more.

Using his new AI parther- codenamed “The Weapon”- players will fight old and new enemies. The trailer even makes a none-too-sly reference to Craig the Brute, a meme born after the aforementioned gameplay premiere where a Brute had an apathetic expression shortly before being struck in the face.

Among the new foes is the sadistic Sangheili Spartan killer Jega ‘Rdomnai. There is also a creature that proclaims itself the “Harbinger of the Truth.” Both seem to employ fast movement, and will likely keep players on their toes.

Halo Infinite launches Holiday 2021 on Windows PC (via the Microsoft Store, Steam), Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass.
