When Microsoft finally unveiled their 4K-ready Xbox One X at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo – they skittered around which of their first-party games would support the console’s 4K capabilities. Now, they’ve confirmedHalo 5: Guardians will support 4K.
The game will be updated with 4K support at some point later this year, while 343 Industries are promising “more to share on this front as we get closer to release.”
That’s pretty much all we have to go on for now – but we’ll keep you guys posted.
Alongside the 4K support for Halo 5, Microsoft also confirmed a host of classic games entering Xbox One’s backwards compatibility roster, including: Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo 4, and Halo: CE Anniversary. You can read more about that here.
