Marvelous AQL has confirmed that Half-Minute Hero 2 (The Second Coming) is finally coming tomorrow, April 4th, via Steam. We originally delayed our confirmation of the release date, mostly because it was revealed on April Fool’s Day, and the release date trailer itself has some pretty wild humor in it.
The game is an much upgraded sequel to the original Half-Minute Hero that launched on the Playstation Portable back in 2009, which was also later ported to Xbox Live Arcade in 2011, and finally on Steam later last year. If you own the original Half-Minute Hero on Steam, you’ll get Half-Minute Hero: The Second Coming at a 25% percent discount.
The totally enhanced sequel is coming with full Steam Workshop support and a map editor, as well as an upgraded Goddess Room that features an art gallery and a music player. The game is also coming with four player multiplayer (with lobbies), alongside the single player campaign, and finally both infinite battle and time attack modes.
While you can’t pre-order or purchase Half-Minute Hero: The Second Coming just yet, you can view its Steam page here.
