Half-Life 3 Isn’t a VR Game, According to Valve

We’ve learned (via VG247) that Valve’s long-rumored and somewhat mythical Half-Life 3 won’t be a part of Valve’s upcoming HTC Vive virtual reality HMD system.

Speaking at this year’s EGX convention, Valve’s Chet Faliszeck was asked by someone if Half-Life 3 would be a VR game.

“No,” replied Faliszeck.

He then talked up VR headsets and how they’re not going to be wireless anytime in the near future, due to their massive requirement for data, and thus, bandwith.

He was then asked about Half-Life 3 again by the same person, he jokingly said “I said ‘no’.”

It’s not quite clear if Faliszeck’s response was completely serious, or having some merit.
