Hajime Tabata Stills Hopes to Bring Final Fantasy Type-0 Westward

Final Fantasy Type-0 is a game that many fans of the franchise have pleaded, filed petitions for, and outright demanded that Square bring west ward. So far their cries have not been heard.

The game is more of an action RPG, featuring the students from Class Zero, an elite class from the Peristylium Suzaku magical academy. The game is mostly about war and the tragedies that come along with it, providing a very dark look and story for the game.

Now, we have confirmation that the director, Hajime Tabata, is still trying to get the game localized in English and other languages, despite the fact that the game came out about two years ago in Japan.

Also coming from the interview between US Gamer and Tabata is the fact that the game is mostly already localized, the game was just never released in the West due to “logistical reasons”, meaning it wasn’t viable for them to do it before.

However, with Agito coming to the west via iOS and the portable market changing, Square Enix is now interested in bringing Type-0 overseas again. Tabata went further to say that the localization is in the final stages of planning, so hopefully if they do greenlight it, it won’t be that long of a wait.
