Don your fighting gloves, because we’ve learned that Bandai Namco is developing a game based off the Hajime no Ippo series.

The news comes via this week’s Famitsu magazine, with the name titled Hajime no Ippo: The Fighting. The Playstation 3 title is set to arrive in Japan on December 11th, and it will retail for 8,280 yen.

Fans of the series will be enthralled to know that iconic brawls will be recreated in the game itself, although we’re still waiting on clarification of whether or not gameplay pans out from a first or third person perspective.
