In 1999, Smash T.V was supposed to happen. In 2015, we were supposed to have flying cars and hoverboards. In 2017, people will likely not have to fight for survival like in The Running Man.   And, despite strong credibility, we may not have to face the Terminators and SKYNET in 2027. However, the future of E-Sports is coming. It is arriving from a future where there is no longer war. There are no Gods or alien beings reigning their doom and destruction upon us. There is only the game and the fame. There is only Gunsport by Necrosoft Games.

Brandon Scheffield, creative director, revealed this very promising and retro-inspired game, detailing the world of Gunsport along with an incredibly retro trailer, featured above. In this future, every nation has found its peace but has returned to the national pride and accomplishment instilled within the unifying power of sports.

Gunsport was invented to celebrate that power and to instill the honor of competition. The trailer above showcases the game’s incredibly style, as if one were watching a trailer for an 80’s movie or video game. Gunsport will be a volleyball style game in which players will bounce a ball and use their handheld lasers to score and win matches.

Gunsport is slated for release sometime this quarter across Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
