Square Enix has announced a PC version of their wildly popular arcade game, Gunslinger Stratos.
Featured above, you can view the new PC version’s announcement trailer. The game pans out in battles of four versus four online multiplayer, where you can choose between a myriad of weapons and characters. Your mission? Destroy the enemy’s core..
There are two new characters that are coming in the game’s PC version, as well as the ability to change your weapon loadouts when you’re waiting to respawn. You can view the new characters, the twins Akane Chloe (left) and Asma Chloe (right), below:
The game is getting an alpha test between February 6th to February 8th, from the times of 18:00 at 23:00 Japan time, each day. Unfortunately, play testers are going to be picked out via a lottery, with the signups kicking off on January 30th at 12:00 Japan time.
You’ll need a rig with a 64-bit version of Windows 7 and 8, and you have to be a resident of Japan (you can presumably circumvent this with an proxy IP address). You can find the game’s official website here.
An animated series for Gunslinger Stratos has also been confirmed. It will start airing via BS11, Dochigi TV, Gunma TV, Nico Nico, and Tokyo MX, in April. Featured above, you can view the debut trailer for the animated series.
